It can be deleted at any time by the user. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Google Calendar and Google Tasks are accessed daily through Google public APIs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Users have control over manual updates of their location and withdrawal of access to Google Calendar and Google Tasks data.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Data Usage:<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Collected data, including Google Tasks and Google Calendar events, is used to create highly customized audio content for users&#8217; daily alarms, incorporating tasks, weather information, and relevant news.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The data collected from Google Tasks and Google Calendar is collected and directly used for the alarm generation. It is not stored by Not-An-Alarm.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Data collected from Google Tasks and Google Calendar is shared with <a href=\"https:\/\/openai.com\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/openai.com\/\">Open AI<\/a> through their OpenAI APIs to compose unique alarm content and translate it into an audio file using the Whisper APIs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Data obtained through the Google Workspace APIs is <strong>not used to develop, improve, or train&nbsp;generalized&nbsp;AI and\/or ML models<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>User Controls:<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Users can opt out of data collection at any time by toggling the relevant options in the app settings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Disabling access to mandatory data sources (e.g., Google Calendar) will disable the generation of new alarms for the user, ensuring transparency in data utilization.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete deletion of past data can be requested by contacting the developer through the official email.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Security Measures:<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tokens for source systems are stored in the backend, protected through Firebase Security Rules. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Generated audio files (.mp3) are stored in a secure cloud location, accessible only by users through a secure link sent to their phones. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Audio files are automatically deleted after 30 days, enhancing data privacy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Third-Party Services:<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Google APIs (Google Calendar and Google Tasks): Users are encouraged to review Google&#8217;s Terms of Service for data handling. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Guardian Open Platform (News Retrieval): No user data is transmitted during news retrieval. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>openweathermap.org (Weather Data Retrieval): No personal user data is shared during weather data retrieval. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open AI Platform (Alarm Content Generation): Users should review Open AI&#8217;s Terms of Use for service usage terms. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Not-an-alarm shares the data collected from the above sources with the Open AI Platform with the only purpose of creating the user&#8217;s daily alarm.<\/span> The user can stop this at any time by removing permission to the sources from the app.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Policy Updates:<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Users will be notified of major changes to the Privacy Policy through email.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Effective Date: 26th April 2025.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that by using Not-An-Alarm, users agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last Update: 26th of April 2025 This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Not-An-Alarm, developed by Valerio Technologies AB, collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from users of the Not-An-Alarm application.
